- Renee Royal | Explore Braselton,GA
Renee Royal About the Artist: Reneé is a vibrant artist whose paintings evoke both joy and peace. Inspired by nature, wildlife, and the beauty of living in the moment, she believes she has always been an artist—growing up creating and eventually turning that passion into her full-time career. Working from her home studio, she creates fine art originals with a current focus on wildlife, while also taking on commissions ranging from pet portraits to favorite vacation spots and epic hikes. Reneé loves working on a larger scale and paints murals whenever and wherever she can, with existing murals in Athens, Clarkesville, and Washington. She has also recently expanded into window painting and sign-making for small businesses. This is her third time participating in the Art Squared portion of ArtRageous in Braselton, and she always has a blast. About the Mural: Bubblegum Boogie The mural features a colorful, spunky cow front and center. Captured mid-moment, the cow blows a bubble of gum which expands and transforms into a shimmering disco ball. The morphing bubble becomes a playful metaphor for joy - revealing that even a small and unexpected moment can grow into shared moments of joy. Both the bubblegum and wallpaper styled background evoke feeling of nostalgia. The subtle background pattern paired with the sweeping line adds rhythm, movement and visual charm, while the focus remains on the joyful cow. This mural design feels contemporary, lighthearted and unapologetically fun. It invites viewers to pause, smile and embrace the delight of not taking life too seriously. “Bubblegum Boogie” celebrates spontaneity, creativity and the joy that emerges when playful energy is allowed to take center stage. - Emily Sidoruk | Explore Braselton,GA
Emily Sidoruk About the Artist: Emily Sidoruk is the artist behind Althea Gallery & Garden, a business she launched in 2021. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember, with her modern artistic journey beginning in high school through a series of music-inspired paintings. In college, she discovered her love for ink as a medium and now primarily creates highly detailed ink and digital illustrations. Emily’s work often celebrates the beauty of Georgia, drawing inspiration from the state’s native flora and fauna as well as beloved regional icons like the Georgia Bulldogs. Known for working on a very small scale—often with a 0.2mm pen—this piece represents one of her rare larger works. The design is inspired by a tiny ink drawing she created a few years ago and reflects a theme she first explored in high school: a girl with long, curly blonde hair, celebrating the beauty of golden locks. This marks just her second large-scale project, following a mural completed in the Trial Gardens at University of Georgia in 2020. About the Mural: Golden The inspiration comes from the golden glow blonde hair can have in the sunshine and just relishing in that. Contact Info WEBSITE ▸ Facebook link Instagram link YouTube link

- Marcy Smith | Explore Braselton,GA
< Back to Welcome Center Marcy Smith Raku-fired Pottery Small Raku-fired Vases Marcy Smith is an art teacher and ceramicist from Hoschton, Georgia. She specializes in creating tiny, wheel-thrown raku-fired vases and bowls. The raku firing process involves heating the piece to a glowing 1800 degrees, then quickly transferring it to a can filled with combustible materials, such as sawdust, paper or dried leaves. The intensely hot pottery ignites the combustibles, creating flames. The cover is quickly placed on the can, and the flames reduce the oxygen inside. The metallic and copper rainbow glaze effect is then created in the oxygen-deprived environment. The glaze fiish on each ceramic piece is unique, as raku firing produces different dazzling results each time. Note: The pottery is not food safe, and should be exposed to a limited amount of water.
