Elachee Nature Center
Environmental education center within the 1,440-acre Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve with animals and hiking trails.
Elachee is about 30 minutes North of Braselton but well worth the trip for the Elachee Exhibits and programs or the 12.24-mile hiking trail system. Join them for the regularly scheduled Discover Saturday series with live animal exhibits, featuring 25 native Georgia reptile and amphibian species, ecology exhibits, and various seasonal activities and demonstrations. Meet Chewy the Great Horned Owl and meander the storybook trail. There is also a wetland refuge at Chicopee Lake.

Parking: $5/passenger vehicle and $10/van or bus
Exhibits and Visitor Center: $10/person
Prohibited
No dogs or bikes are allowed. Mountain bikers visit Chicopee Woods Mountain biking trails, these trails are less than a mile from Elachee and also within the Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve.
