Emily Sidoruk

About the Artist:
Emily Sidoruk is the artist behind Althea Gallery & Garden, a business she launched in 2021. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember, with her modern artistic journey beginning in high school through a series of music-inspired paintings. In college, she discovered her love for ink as a medium and now primarily creates highly detailed ink and digital illustrations.
Emily’s work often celebrates the beauty of Georgia, drawing inspiration from the state’s native flora and fauna as well as beloved regional icons like the Georgia Bulldogs. Known for working on a very small scale—often with a 0.2mm pen—this piece represents one of her rare larger works. The design is inspired by a tiny ink drawing she created a few years ago and reflects a theme she first explored in high school: a girl with long, curly blonde hair, celebrating the beauty of golden locks.
This marks just her second large-scale project, following a mural completed in the Trial Gardens at University of Georgia in 2020.
About the Mural:
Title: Golden
The inspiration comes from the golden glow blonde hair can have in the sunshine and just relishing in that.
