Susan Duke Waters, lives in North Georgia. She is originally from Bath, United Kingdom.


Susan examines and portrays a variety of subject matter, including figurative, landscapes, still life and flora. While painting  predominantly in oil, she also works in watercolor, acrylic, clay, metal and papier mâché.


Her preference is to work from direct observation, plein air or from life. She thrives on the timeless concentration of the creative process and is grateful for every opportunity.


In the last few years, Susan has entered shows and been affirmed by acceptances, shows such as Oil Painters of America National, 2024, 2022 and Eastern Regional 2023, the American Women Artists and the Georgia Watercolor Society, with both of whom she is a signature member. She participates in the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia.


Susan paints backdrops for the Rockmart Community Chorus biannual shows, and creates life-sized paier mâché sculptures for the Rockmart Christmas parades. A large body of her paper mâché work was placed on permanent display at the Moore Methodist Museum in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
