5 Ways to Reconnect this Valentine's Day
Updated: May 24

#1 | Discover the Elan Escape.
Let the romance begin! Chateau Elan Winery and Resort is an enchanting, French chateau-style resort surrounded by 3,500 acres of verdant forests and rolling hillsides draped in vineyards. This destination will transport you to the French countryside for a weekend of l'amour. Indulge and unwind with the Elan Escape package that includes breakfast and dinner for two, and a bottle of wine to enjoy during your stay. Or immerse yourselves in the Chateau Experience, a deluxe package that also includes a romantic couples massage.

#2 | Enjoy a love affair with wine.
One of the largest and most awarded wineries on the East Coast, Chateau Elan Winery offers a selection of more than 30 wines from locally made muscadine wine to the premium Fingerprint Collection. The Chateau Tour & Tasting grants you a behind-the-scenes look at the winery vat, production rooms, and bottling line where a senior wine steward guides you through the entire winemaking process, from grape-to-glass. After the tour concludes, enjoy a guided tasting of five, winemaker-selected vintages. The tour is offered on weekdays at 2:30 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday hourly from 1 to 4 p.m.

#3 | Wine & dine on dry-aged steaks.
Cotton Calf Kitchen is the perfect setting for romance and an intimate dinner with your honey. This classic American steakhouse features a menu with heirloom vegetables served family-style, tapas-style appetizers and an extensive drink list. Start with the Blue Point Oysters, a cold bar treat, and then choose from a variety of prime, dry-aged or Certified Angus Beef steaks. There is also a delicious selection of seafood including whole baked lobster.
