Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is proud to host, alongside the Braselton Visitors Bureau, the 4th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air Competition presented by Olmstead Arts. The competition is to take place on Oct. 19–20, 2022 across the property of Chateau Elan and the Town of Braselton. The public is invited to gather and watch as artists paint “plein air” on the beautiful grounds of Chateau Elan. This open event is an exciting experience for both attendees and artists.
Defined as “in the open air,” plein air is know as outdoor painting that captures the natural beauty of the artist’s location. Braselton will be the canvas for artists competing in the 4th Annual Georgia Color Plein Air Competition. The Chateau Elan property has beautiful scenery from the winery, to the vineyards, and even the interior of the inn. Downtown Braselton will provide a charming historic setting for the artists.
As attendees watch throughout this two-day journey, the artists will paint beautiful artwork right before their eyes. For those with an eye for art, this is a premier opportunity to watch artists build a gallery of work that will be available for purchase. Every day, fresh paintings will be created and then showcased.
