Historic
Downtown
We have historic landmarks aplenty, and all the stories that go along with them—it’s part of our small-town charm.
Here, you’ll find the town founders’ former stomping grounds, the unique collection of buildings in which they lived and worked, preserved and repurposed so that their stories live on through our own moments between their walls—whether it be a visit to a boutique or restaurant at the famed Braselton Brothers Department Store, a hunt for antiques at the historic schoolhouse or enjoying a craft brew at the old cotton gin.
Explore more Braselton history with a tour of the historic district, either on foot or by trolley.
Town History
Preserving our story
A great deal of Downtown Braselton’s charm lies in its history. That doesn’t only involve the people and stories that made the town all that it is today, but also the unique collection of buildings in which they lived and worked. Historic preservation is a core value of the Town of Braselton, and you’ll find many historic buildings repurposed for modern functions. Visit a boutique or restaurant at the Braselton Bros. Department Store. Go antiquing at the historic schoolhouse. Enjoy a brew at the old cotton gin. Explore more Braselton history on the Town of Braselton’s website.
